Leopard, Kabini Backwaters, Nagarhole National Park - Jan 2016

Sighted this adult male leopard during one of the wildlife safari at the sanctuary. After a long time sitting in the middle of the safari route the leopard got up and moved in to the bushes.

Mother and Baby Elephant @ Kabini Backwaters, Nagarhole National Park- June 2016

Clicked this image during one of my wildlife safari. The bond between a baby elephant and its mother can be correctly described as the closest of any animal on earth. The mother and Baby elephant were enjoying grassing. The Baby Elephant was wandering with its mother and learning the habits from her.

Crested Serpent Eagle @ Manamboli Range, Valparai, Anamalai Tiger Reserve, June 2016

This "Crested Serpent Eagle" was sitting on a tree with its wings opened for sunning its feathers after the rain. Bird sunning is the act of spreading out in full sunshine to expose plumage and skin to direct sunlight. When sunning, birds orient themselves to expose the maximum amount of their plumage to the sun.  In cold weather or early in the day, birds sun themselves for warmth by taking advantage of solar radiation. This allows them to maintain their body temperature without expending as much energy from food and it can increase their chances of survival in cold climates or when food is scarce.

Spotted Deer Shaking off water from its body while raining @ Kabini Backwaters - June 2016

When i was in a wildlife safari, it started to rain heavily. Normally it is not possible to sight most of the wild animals during heavy rain, animals used to go deep into the thick forest to avoid getting wet in the rain. But I get to sight lot of Spotted Deer standing under a tree. I waited for the wonderful opportunity and situation, and then clicked the photograph of a Spotted Deer shaking off the water from its body while raining.

Adult Male Tiger of Bandipur Tiger Reserve

Clicked this tiger image during one of my wildlife safari. I waiting for long time after getting the "alarm call" from the Deer and Peacock. Usually animals like Deer, Gaur, Gray Langur, Peacock and Monkeys used to generate a typical sound or noise if they find any movement of the predators. The Tiger just came out from the bush and i was able to click this photograph.
